MM Keeravaani tunes a song with AI

The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into music creation is swiftly gaining traction within the Indian film industry. In a recent development, AR Rahman incorporated AI to replicate the voices of the late singers Bamba Bakya and Shahul Hameed for a track in Rajinikanth’s Lal Salaam, sparking controversy among certain circles.

Prior to this, Hesham Abdul Wahab utilized AI for a song in Nani’s recent blockbuster Hi Nanna. However, Vivek Sagar's application of AI to recreate the voice of the late legend SP Balasubrahmanyam in Keedaa Cola faced significant backlash.

The latest musician to embrace AI is MM Keeravaani, renowned for winning an Oscar for Naatu Naatu (RRR). In his upcoming release, Love Me – If You Dare, starring Ashish Reddy and Vaishnavi Chaitanya, Keeravaani made history by using AI for composing the entire song "Ghost Love," marking the first instance of a Telugu music director employing AI vocals for an entire track.

Backed by producers Harshith Reddy, Hanshitha Reddy, and Naga Mallidi, this project boasts the legendary talents of PC Sreeram as the cinematographer. As the film gears up for its grand release on April 25, 2024, stay tuned for further updates.
